JÖRG IMMENDORFF
New Paintings
25 January through 3 March 2001
UPPER EAST SIDE, NEW YORK

25 January 2001 through 3 March 2001
This exhibition of new paintings combines iconography from Fifteenth through Eighteenth Century etchings and eerily modern images of anthropomorphic larvae, plants, and figures, reinforcing Immendorff's unique language in imagery. While "New Paintings" is on view, Anton Kern Gallery, in conjunction with Michael Werner Gallery, will be exhibiting "Jörg Immendorff: Lidl (Fluxus) Work and Recent Paintings" and the artist will participate in a discussion with MoMA curator, Rober Storr at the 92nd Street YMCA
