Sigmar Polke has been elected to the prestigious American Academy of Arts and Sciences, one of America's most historic and respected honorary societies and independent policy research centers. This year the Academy announced 190 new Fellows and 22 Foreign Honorary Members. Sigmar Polke is the only Foreign Honorary Member elected this year in the field of visual arts.
